The 40mm case is equipped with Parmigiani's unique minute rattrapante mechanism. The first minute hand is made of rhodium-plated gold and indicates real time in sync with the hour hand. The second hand, made of 18K rose gold and usually hidden under the rhodium-plated hand, can calculate in 5-minute or 1-minute increments. The pusher at 8 o'clock can be used to adjust in 5-minute increments, and the pusher at 10 o'clock can be used to adjust in 1-minute increments. When the rhodium-plated hand and the 18K rose gold hand are aligned, the measured time has elapsed.
