- Otsuka Lawtech "No. 5" is the brand's first commercially available model, released in 2012 by Jiro Katayama, a self-taught watchmaker. Rather than using conventional hands, the watch uses a regulator-type display that shows the time using an hour disc at 12 o'clock and a minute disc at 6 o'clock, combined with a small central seconds and date display. Two ball bearings visible from the front are incorporated into the design, giving it an attractive mechanical look reminiscent of a measuring instrument. The movement is based on Miyota's automatic Caliber 8215, with specifications modified by Mr. Katayama to match the display mechanism. The model name comes from the order of the case design. It was produced until 2022 and became the origin of the design of the No. 5 reform that appeared in 2025.
